Change of Perspective - The Schlossberg Clock Tower

So what's the time? 4:03? Just after 5? Nope, actually 12:23.

The challenge of reading a twenty four hour watch quickly may be one problem, but how about getting used to the hour and minute hands being swapped round?

Well that's exactly the situation with the Schlossberg Clock Tower, Graz, Austria shown right.

From a time when there were only single handed clocks that only showed the hour, when clocks became accurate enough to show the minutes, in this case a short minute hand was added.

How things could have been different....
